Our Mission

Theotokos Junior Academy, working with Holy Sophia University, aims to teach children and teens about the Coptic Orthodox faith through the Bible, church practices, discussions of beliefs, and support for families, so they can understand, practice, and stand up for their faith with confidence.

Our Vision

To live this mission, we will:

Provide age-based online programs that unite Bible study, church teaching, and real-life application.

  • Offer proactive learning for every unit: a guided PDF, an engaging video, and a live weekly Zoom session.

  • Prepare teens through Servant Prep to teach, lead small groups, and serve in the Church with humility and wisdom.

  • Support young professional families with parent awareness meetings and practical resources.

  • Motivate students through Orthodox-centered competitions with big prizes—scholarships, retreats, quality books, and icons—so that their enthusiasm for learning is matched by a deeper love for Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Church.

  • Motivating students through joyful, Orthodox-centered competitions with big prizes—scholarships, retreats, spiritual books, icons, and other meaningful rewards—so that their enthusiasm for learning is matched by a deeper love for Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Church.

  • Scriptural Depth
We want our students not only to memorize verses but also to understand, love, and live the Word of God—reading Scripture in the light of the Coptic Orthodox tradition.

  • Orthodox Identity
We help children know who they are: beloved children of God, rooted in the faith, worship, and sacramental life of the Coptic Orthodox Church.

  • Confident, Gentle Apologetics
We prepare teens to face questions in school, college, and online with clarity and gentleness—speaking the truth in love, not in anger or fear.

  • Liturgical and Sacramental Life
We show students that the Divine Liturgy, the feasts, fasts, and sacraments are not “extras,” but the living heartbeat of our life in Christ.

  • Family Partnership
We see parents as the first and most important teachers. Our role is to stand beside them with tools, guidance, and encouragement to bring faith into everyday family life.

  • Servant Formation
For older students, we provide Servant Prep—teaching them how to handle Scripture responsibly, lead discussions, and serve in the Church with humility, balance, and obedience.
