Theotokos Scripture Challenge – Bible Competition
The Theotokos Scripture Challenge is our Bible competition designed to turn Scripture study into a joyful, high-energy journey. Children and teens don’t just study quietly—they train, compete, and celebrate around the Word of God.
With valuable prizes for winners and special recognition for participants, this competition motivates our youth to give their best and to keep God’s Word in their hearts for life.

Why a Bible Competition?
Children love clear goals. They love to aim high and see progress. A Bible competition:
Gives a target and a timeline that keeps them engaged
Encourages them to go deeper than the minimum
Builds confidence to speak the Word of God out loud
Creates a positive, faith-filled environment where effort is celebrated
We use competition not to create pride, but to create holy focus—so that their minds and hearts are full of Scripture.

How the Scripture Challenge works
1. Enroll in the Bible Study Track
Every competitor is first a Bible student. They follow the same three-format Bible study (PDF, video, live session).
2. Receive Competition Material
According to age group, competitors receive:
Extra memory passages
Additional study questions
Practice quizzes and challenge prompts
3. Online Qualifying Round
Students complete an online test that covers:
Memory verses
Bible knowledge and understanding
Basic application questions
4. Live Final Round (Online)
Top qualifiers advance to a live online event that may include:
Verse recitation
Quick-response Bible questions
Short explanations of selected passages
Families, friends, and parishes can join online to watch and cheer.

Big Prizes, Eternal Reward
We are very open with our children: there are big prizes, and there is a bigger reward.
For top winners, prizes may include:
Scholarships toward camps, retreats, or further Orthodox education
High-quality Bibles, patristic books, and study tools
Beautiful icons and devotional items
Medals, trophies, and public recognition
For participants:
Certificates of participation
Small gifts and recognition in our community
A sense of achievement and spiritual growth
The prizes are designed to be valuable and memorable, yet every servant will gently remind the children:
“The greatest prize is to belong to Christ, to love His Word, and to remain faithful to His Church.”
Section: For Parents
This competition is not just an event—it’s a season of intense spiritual and intellectual growth for your child. During the Scripture Challenge:
You’ll see them memorize more than you thought possible
You’ll hear them quote verses at unexpected moments
You’ll watch their confidence grow as they speak in front of others
You’ll have many opportunities to talk about faith at home
In a world that rewards empty achievements, this is a chance to let your child chase something that will never fade.
